DESCRIPTION
The
57 room resort, restaurant and spa set in the rural highlands
of Dalat, Vietnam comprises seventeen fully restored French
colonial villas each originally constructed between the 1920's
and 1930's. The villas retain the unique personalities of
their original owners while being lovingly restored to their
former glory, with all care taken to preserve original design,
décor and charm.
Set in the Central Vietnam highland city of Dalat, the region
was popularised by French occupation at the turn of the 20th
century. Alexandre Yersin, a contemporary of the famed Louis
Pasteur discovered and pioneered the location that is now
known as Dalat in approximately 1897. With the cool European
climate (the area sits at an altitude of 1500 metres above sea
level) and the rolling mountainous, pine treed terrain, Dalat
became the summer hill-station retreat for royalty and high
society.
Sited on approximately 35 acres of suburban parkland that
forms its own unique compound, the area Evason Ana Mandara
Villas Dalat occupies was originally known as the 'Bellevue
Quarter', a nod to the rich French influence. Striking views
of the surrounding town, countryside and flourishing vegetable
fields abound from all areas of the gently sloping hillside
property.
Of the seventeen villas on site, fifteen have been converted
into fully serviced hotel accommodations with the remaining
two villas being converted into our Restaurant and Six Senses
Spa, respectively.

A total of 57 keys spread
between fifteen individual, original French colonial villas.
Rooms are independently furnished and are true to their
original design and décor.
Each villa comprises between three and five en-suited rooms,
and includes the following shared areas for residential
guests:

An individual kitchen has
been restored for each villa, where our hosts will attend to
all requests - from breakfast through to privately arranged
'In Villa' dining. A feature of each Villa is the surrounding
landscaped areas and expansive views of local urban life and
farming countryside.
Room types range from Villa Rooms and Villa Studios
through to Villa Suites. We also offer specially
dedicated Villa Spa Suites for that extra pampering.
For something truly unique, ask about The Bellevue Suite
- with a breathtaking balcony and 270 degree views to match,
or The Spa Villa - a fully contained originally
restored chateau, complete with spa treatment facilities and
private service host.
As each room has been individually restored to the original
design, room sizes and positioning vary from villa to villa.

Six Senses Spa
A luxuriously appointed
facility, set within and around an authentic French Colonial
Villa - circa 1930, the stunning Six Senses Spa at Evason Ana
Mandara Villas comprises five therapy rooms with splendid
views across Dalat. The spa design seamlessly blends the
interiors with the unspoilt surrounds, as steam emanates from
the outdoor hot tubs through the tall pine tress and an
organic flower garden produces ingredients for home-prepared
aromatherapy. The spa focus is placed on fresh, natural local
ingredients to heal, pamper and rebalance the senses with an
unrivalled range of indigenous and international therapies
that soothe and uplift body, mind and spirit.

- An individual service host is assigned
to each villa and is available on call for all your
requirements, at any time.
- Breakfast - A traditional
continental breakfast is served daily in the comfort of
your shared villa dining room as part of your room
package; alternatively an impressive a-la-carte menu,
showcasing a modern interpretation of a European
breakfast, will be served in our signature restaurant for
a small surcharge. Our breakfast in bed is another option
well worth investigating!
- The traditional Mini Bar has
been turned on its head at Evason Ana Mandara Villas
Dalat. Each villa kitchen and lounge area is fully
equipped with a large at your fingertips selection of food
and beverages. Your service host will be able to prepare
almost any desire from a simple pot of freshly roasted
Dalat Coffee, through to house made pastries & cookies
or more substantial dishes such as pasta or cheese
platters at any time of the day or night. The house
selection of locally grown coffee and tea, through to
individual wine cellars and our spirit range is a
gourmand's dream.
- In Villa Dining is by prior
arrangement - either as a formal set dinner, or a more
relaxed open barbeque are both unique features of our
service. As each villa comes with a fully equipped
kitchen, your host can easily arrange romantic candlelit
dinners in the villa dining room or on your own private
balcony.
- Group Barbeques or dinners also
provide an alternative dining experience, particularly if
travelling with friends, or getting away for a small group
meeting with the top executives.

Our Restaurant Villa at 9 Le Lai Street
Housed within what must be one of the most impressive villas
onsite, are the three food and beverage concepts of Evason Ana
Mandara Villas Dalat.
nine is our signature restaurant. Best described as
'fine dining with the top button undone' the restaurant serves
modern European inspired cuisine, a stellar wine list and
professional service within a heritage setting. There are
daily specials and also a Degustation menu is frequently
offered. Catering only for 30 guests, nine is worthy of
advanced reservations. A private dining room for up to 10
guests is also available. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner
daily.
Wine Bar at nine is a classic take on a European 'hole
in the wall' wine bar. Located above nine, this small intimate
space serves a new world tapas menu and a great selection of
wine by the glass. Two large communal dining tables capture
attention within a cosy, dark wooden frame design. Our two
walk in wine cellars capture attention, not just for their
contents; while the small balcony tables are a must at sunset
- but we suggest that you arrive early! Open from midday until
midnight daily.
Our informal café The Courtyard has been created
underneath the large pine trees to the rear of 9 Le Lai Street
- forming a row of large umbrellas with views of the
surrounding countryside. The Courtyard is also the place for
our cooking demonstrations, with 9 Le Lai Street's kitchen
opening through an ingenious awning and allowing full view of
our culinary brigade at work. This is a great place during the
daytime for a coffee and a sandwich, or just a quick fresh and
healthy juice before heading to the Six Senses Spa or
discovering personal treasures in our retail store. Open from
10am until 6pm daily.
Our Chef du Cuisine and General Manager have both taken great
lengths to source as much locally produced sustainable and
preferably organic, fruit, vegetables and other produce as
possible in order to bring a combination of authentic and
healthy choices for 9 Le Lai Street's various menus.

domestic airport terminal is approximately a 30 minutes drive
from the city centre. Current plans are afoot for Linh Khuong
airport to be upgraded to international status by end 2005,
accepting direct flights from Singapore and Hong Kong.

major centre.
